T.M. Camp is an unpublished author who has sent in his (amazing) stories numerous times. How did I read it, you ask? Did I read it on the internet, or a blog of some sort? NOPE! Even better! He has taken the higher road and made his two novel's, "Matters of Mortology", and "Assam and Darjeeling", into podcast style audiobooks for free on the itunes store. On the podcasts, he tells you where you can talk to him, at the ever so not obvious [link] . From there you can send him a message and give him your email so that he will email you back.(I think) he's still trying to get his two books published, and I told him that if there was anything I could do to help, I would. I also told him that if he wanted to simply self publish, to sign me up for a copy of the books. His stories are what he would like to call the "Weird" genre. One of his main role models is (no suprise here) Neil Gaiman. You can really tell too. His style is reminiscent of Mr. G's. My Dad told him (T.M.Camp) in a message (my dad's the one who introduced me to the author) that his style was noticably comparablel to several authors, including Gaiman's and T.M. Camp replied with "You have made my week by simply telling me that, thank you so much.")
Long Paragraph.
Anyway, I got a reply today from him. I was so happy to receive something back! Here's what he had to say:
"Thanks very much for listening and for the kind words. It really mademy day to hear from you and I'm glad you're enjoying the story. Hopeit holds up for you.
Thanks again for taking the time to write.
I'll certainly keep youposted on the publishing effort. Here's hoping it's soon.
All the best,
T.M. Camp"
It was so great to hear from another author, especially someone well on their way, unlike me.
Graveyard book comes out in one week and six days and I couldn't be counting down the days more fervently.
Speakings of Mr. Gaiman, I recently stumbled across Neverwear, a site featuring Neil Gaiman clothes. Quite odd, but I want some of those t-shirts terribly. http://www.neverwear.net/store/ There's a link to the place.

Pre-Graveyard Book
AH!
Neil Gaiman's new book is coming out in 2 weeks and 5 days! I can't wait! So exciting! So. Darn. Exciting.
I've been sick the past couple days, so I've had a few hours to write, not much though.
I wrote 5 pages of something I've been working on for awhile now. It feels good to get back to it. :)

School
School started a couple weeks ago and I'm swamped with work, so I don't have time to update much. :)

Fair is Foul...
...and foul is fair. Hover through the fog and filthy air.
That's right. Macbeth would be the title of the school play this year and my luck faultered. Not luck, but rather my brain. Talent. Confidence, etc.
I tried out for the part of a witch, I didn't make it in, but that's alright because I saw the people that DID make it and they're awesome! I think I'll see it a few times just because it's going to be VERY fun to watch how our fantastic drama teacher decides to do this. The witches are going to not be witches. But more of ambiguous weird sisters.
Alright. I'll admit it. I'm jealous, and a little upset, but it'll be alright. :)

Dirt
That's the unofficial title of the new story I'm wanting to work on. I'm also very nervous about writing it, but oh well. :) As I said, it's unofficial, so it's VERY subject to change.
I just though I'd update, although I'm not getting any comments as of yet. That's alright though, I'll just keep on going!
Ugh. I'm not normally this happy, I'm just so close to getting finished with my summer reading that I can't keep the happiness away! Alright! BYE!

Tiger Stripes and Fairy Tales
That title is mine. Hooray for randomly neat titles. That title is ALSO the title of my new website. It's a free website because I'm young and poor. tigerstripes.page.tl go there and you'll find it. It doesn't have anything up as of yet, but it will.
I haven't worked on any writing lately. Actually, I have, but I'm reluctant to let the world view it as of yet. It's...not my normal topic, I suppose we can say that. ;) I might let you people see it sometime, though.
I'm not too sure what to talk about as of yet.

Fall and Fly
Although it is the name of my blog, the name had to come from somewhere at first. It originated in my favorite Gaiman quote: "Sometimes you wake up. Sometimes the fall kills you. And sometimes, when you fall, you fly."
Although it's meaningful in just one way at first, it begins to apply itself to other situations as time goes on. So it is my favorite quote.
Now, seeing as I was too lazy a few minutes ago to tell a little about myself, I will now. I'm a writer...kind of. I haven't written my whole life, like many of the great authors had. I just discovered writing this past year. I got a few compliments from showing my writing to people (I do quite a lot of short story writing) and so I continued doing it as long as others enjoyed it. Slowly, I realized that I enjoyed the actual partaking in putting pen to paper. And so I kept writing, but it was no longer for them, it was for me.
Even if I love writing, I'm no master of the craft. I have a long road ahead of me filled with reading, practicing, and refining. But unlike my previous hobby (drawing. -__-), I'm willing to take the road slowly and enjoy the scenery.
I have to say that I have a few inspirations. Oh? You thought I was going to TELL you the inspirations? No, no, I'm much too lazy right now for that. You'll just have to wait until a later time.
I suppose that's all for now! Adios!
